Throughout his life, he endangered himself greatly for the greater good of others. Unlike many other similar events that happened from the cause of many important people such as Martin Luthur King, Mandela, etc, Gandhi's actions, even if they were more or less the same, riskier, from the mere fact that he did all this through total non-violence. This is why I chose the symbol of peace to represent him - he did many great things through the "hard but clean way."
